1998 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Coca-Cola Promotional NASCAR Motegi 500 suit
Simpson Racing Products suit produced for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to use at promotional and photoshoot events in the run-up to the 1998 NASCAR Thunder Special Motegi 500 in Japan. This race was an historic event in more ways than one. It would be the first-ever NASCAR race to be held in Japan as well as being the first time Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. raced with the same Richard Childress Racing Team.
The suit which came directly from the ‘Bill Simpson Collection’ is marked for promotional use only and is a non-fire retardant suit. It’s a great looking item in all black with white and red trim and the has the main team sponsor ‘Coca-Cola’ logo embroidered on the front of the suit and the ‘Coke Polar Bear’ image on the back. It also has many other team sponsors/suppliers’ logos embroidered onto the suit. We cannot guarantee this suit was ever worn as there were at least three produced.
