2000 Jacques Villeneuve Signed Australia GP Race Used BAR Lucky Strike Honda F1 Suit
This suit was worn by Villeneuve at the first race of the season, the Australian GP, where he drove to a great 4th place finish. Villeneuve kept the suit in rotation during the whole season as the suit was also seen again in the final race of the season in Malaysia where he would finish 5th. There is evidence of other sponsor patches on the chest and upper arms having been removed, where the suit was configured to match the sponsorship of a given race during the 2000 season.
Villeneuve’s career is highlighted by his 1995 Indianapolis 500 victory, his 1995 CART Championship and his 1997 F1 World Championship. He also won the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award at Indianapolis 500 in 1994 and, again, in F1 in 1996. He is the only Canadian to win the F1 World title.
The suit comes straight from Villeneuve’s personal collection and he has signed the left upper chest in black marker.
The suit comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
