2015 Sebastian Vettel Mexico/Brazil GP Ferrari Arai GP6 F1 Media Helmet
Exact replica of the helmet worn by Ferrari Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel in the both 2015 Mexican and Brazilian Grands Prix. The helmet was painted by Vettel’s regular helmet designer and world-renowned helmet artist Jens Munser, and was produced as a one-off replica for media and promotional purposes.
Painted on an Arai GP6 model, the helmet’s main white base color is overlaid with Vettel’s traditional Ferrari livery and with the German national flag colors of black, red & yellow extending over the helmet, back to front. It also has Vettel’s race #5 on the crown and the ‘VS’ logo on both sides. The Scuderia Ferrari ‘Prancing Horse’ yellow shield is on the back and the racing team’s logo is on the top front and back. Over the rest of the helmet’s surface are hand-sketched images of former Ferrari personalities and cars that brought success to the Maranello-based car manufacturer throughout its glorious history. There is a grey-edged band around the top that has sponsor Kaspersky’s lettering within it. Other major team sponsors’ branding logos, for Santander and Shell, are placed on the cheeks and chin, respectively. It also has fittings the original race helmet would have come with, including front chin and rear air deflectors and HANS post anchors. There’s also a JMD/Arai helmet I.D. sticker on the rear of the helmet that reads SV-M-13/15.
The helmet comes with a copy of the original receipt for artwork done by JMD and a full Certificate Of Authenticity.
It is a well known fact that Sebastian Vettel keeps all of his race day helmets. This is a rare chance to acquire the next best thing, at a fraction of the price of an original race-used helmet.
