2019 Kevin Magnussen Italian GP Used Haas F1 Helmet
Bell HP77 helmet worn by Danish race driver Kevin Magnussen in the 2019 Italian GP at Monza, while driving for the Haas F1 Team. The helmet had the Rich Energy logo covered over by a matte black decal featuring a gold H from the Haas logo. This allowed the helmet to be used at other race weekends after the infamous, rapid departure of Rich Energy sponsorship in F1. A day after the Italian Grand Prix, Rich Energy announced the termination of their deal with the Haas F1 team with immediate effect. Title sponsor Rich Energy faced numerous legal issues during the year, including being found to have plagiarized the logo of bicycle manufacturer Whyte Bikes. After the helmet was first photographed, we peeled off the Haas logo sticker and revealed the Rich Energy logo underneath it, as you can see in the photo attached to this listing (now the helmet shows as it appeared in Italy).
‘K-Mag’, as he’s affectionately known, famously exploded onto the F1 scene in 2014 with a 2nd place finish in his Grand Prix debut for the McLaren team, he stayed with them through 2015. In 2016 he drove a 1 year stint with Renault. He then raced for Haas from 2017 to 2020, and made a lot of fans happy when he again signed for the team in 2022. Despite 3 retirements in 2022 he is currently lying 11th in the Drivers Championship with 5 top ten finishes.
This stunning matte finish helmet, with tear offs still attached, would enhance any memorabilia collection.
The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
